About the Artist

I'm Hamna — completely self-taught, and honestly that's something I'm proud of. Nobody handed me a formula. I just picked up a brush, fell in love with the shapes of Arabic letters, and kept going.

Growing up in Pakistan, I was surrounded by a culture deeply rooted in art — calligraphy has been woven into Pakistani life for centuries, in architecture, in poetry, in everyday beauty. Moving to Sweden shifted something in me. The quietness here, the light, the unhurried way of living gave me space to see my own roots differently. Both worlds now show up in my work — the warmth and depth of where I came from, and the calm clarity of where I am.
